Food Barrel needs your Items!
The Deacons are rolling out the St. Luke Food Barrel each Sunday morning to remind you that is is in need of your non-perishable food items. Drop off your: canned fruits, vegetables, and meats, dried fruits and nuts, bottled and canned juices, dried pasta, canned or bottled pasta sauces, macaroni and cheese or other boxed pasta meals, peanut butter and jelly, chili and soups, etc. We fill it, Marin Community Food Bank picks it up and redistributes the food to those whose cupboards are bare.
For more information on items you can donate or other ways to help, go to the Marin Community Food Bank website at www.marinfoodbank.org .
Prayer Shawl/Blanket Ministry
St. Luke's Prayer Blankets/Shawls has been a great new ministry to those who are ill or undergoing medical treatment. Eighteen were given out last year and the ‘thank you's' received from the recipients have been so appreciative.
Thank you to these lovely ladies who have been knitting up a storm: Tonya Church, Marilyn Mulder, Carol Mayer, Jan Smith, Mary Beth Spiker, Mary Dill, Holly Kuhlman Katie Woolard, and Jean McKechnie - apologies if we have missed a name or two!
