Dear St. Luke Community,

This Sunday come to church in your grubbies as we join together after worship at the Heave Ho Party.  This is a chance for us to get together as a community to toss out the old to make room for the new. There will be plenty of tasks to accomplish so feel free to participate however is most comfortable for you.  And food will be provided.  So bring comfortable clothes, some tools, and a sense of humor.

Also starting this month we are trying a new way to share prayer requests.  We will start a Digital Prayer Chain.  If you would like to be a part of our email prayer group please let myself or Joanne know.  You will be added to: .  When folks have prayer requests they can send them to the above address and everyone who is in the group will see the prayer request.  This will be a good way for us to stay connected and share prayer requests with the community.

Additionally, this Sunday is Organ Sunday. The special music will be provided by Becky Viebrock.  I am excited for service as we join together in worship, fellowship, and fun.

As always, feel free to contact me via phone (831.207.7356) or email ( ).

Peace be with you,
Pastor Andrew

Dear St. Luke Community,

Can you believe it, July is upon us? The sun is shining, school is out and some folks are off on various adventures.  As we jump into summer it is time for the church to take some much-needed rest and relaxation.  The choir has already begun its summer break. Our bible study and meditation group will be taking a hiatus for the month of July.  The session will not meet.  And I will even be taking some vacation at the end of July and the beginning of August.

One activity we will participate in this summer is the All Church Heave Ho Party on July 10 following worship.  We will spend some time building community while throwing out the old to make room for the new.  This fall we will begin with new energy and exciting new events as we emerge from our restful summer and inhabit our newly cleaned-out church buildings.  So mark your calendar and join us next Sunday (7/10) for food, fun, and laughter as we Heave Ho.

And this Sunday we will join together in communion.  I look forward to sharing in the heavenly banquet.  As always, feel free to contact me via phone (831.207.7356) or email ( ).

Peace be with you,
Pastor Andrew

Dear St. Luke Community,

I want to extend a big THANK YOU to Janie Spahr for being a part of the service last Sunday.  It was a wonderful service that juggled and celebrated Father’s Day, Juneteenth, and Pride Celebration!  We have held a lot these last weeks as we have been listening to the Spirit among us.  And we will continue to follow the Spirit of God as we move into the summer and beyond.

This week we will join together for a more peaceful and meditative service of prayer for Healing and Wholeness.  This will be an opportunity to lift up prayers for ourselves, our families, and the larger community.  This abbreviated service will allow those who wish to attend to participate in John and Stacy Bischoff’s Celebration of Life at Peacock Gap at 11 am (see below for more information).

As always, please contact me via phone (831.207.7356) or email  ( ).  I am happy to meet folks over coffee, tea, food, or just for a walk in the sunshine.

Peace be with you,
Pastor Andrew
